Our Ingredients

Our pet products are made in the USA from some of nature’s finest ingredients, formulated by dog-loving chemists. We use these ingredients for a reason -- read more on why each of these can be beneficial to your pup!

Colloidal Oatmeal

Colloidal Oatmeal

Increases shampoo lather

Oatmeal contains certain chemicals called saponins which are known for their cleansing and foaming power. Colloidal oatmeal in dog shampoo does the same, helping to make the bathing experience soothing and enjoyable for you and your dog, all while naturally lifting away the oil and dirt causing your dog to itch so much.

Reduces inflammation

Colloidal oatmeal as a whole exhibits antioxidant and anti-irritant properties that help treat dry and itchy skin. That’s why you find colloidal oatmeal in our 2+1 Dog Shampoo and Conditioner and the Waterless Shampoo -- it soothes your pup’s inflamed skin and brings immediate relief to any irritation.

Re-hydrates your dog’s skin

Soap can actually rob oil and moisture from your dog’s skin while it’s removing the unwanted dirt and grime. If your pup is already suffering from dry, itchy skin, soap could make their skin drier and make the condition worse. The colloidal oatmeal counteracts this drying effect of most soaps and actually hydrates your dog’s skin. This is why we love including it at the top of our ingredient list in our products!

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp Seed Oil is an important ingredient in Frankie & Paisley Pet Products

Alleviates inflammation

The anti-inflammatory properties in hemp seed oil, which is the first ingredient in our K9 Shampoo, work to clean and moisturize your pup’s skin. It also helps alleviate irritation from uncomfortable skin conditions like eczema, dandruff, rashes, and atopic dermatitis. The balanced fatty acids of hemp seed oil also help in reducing the inflammation associated with common skin issues. Not only that, but it also moisturizes your dog’s skin and reduces shedding (yes, you read that right. Less fur on your floors!)

Chamomile

 Chamomile

Soothes itchy, irritated skin

The antimicrobial effects of chamomile can soothe your pup’s itchy skin and alleviate scratching at the inflamed area. Additionally, combining chamomile with aloe vera will strengthen the soothing properties even more.

Helps relaxes your pup

Chamomile also has relaxing properties. It’s often used in humans for its anti-anxiety effects, and it can work the same way on dogs. It contains chemicals that ease muscle aches and reduce anxiety, making bath time more relaxing.

Aloe Vera

 Aloe Vera

Soothes skin and speeds up healing

A few of our products, like the Pure Relief Spray and the 2+1 Shampoo and Conditioner, are infused with aloe vera because of the softening and healing properties it provides. Aloe vera can speed the healing of skin rashes and stimulates circulation to create a cooling effect, providing instant relief. It’s also antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and kills bacteria that might infect inflamed skin, making it useful for pets with allergies, skin infections, and other diseases. It also softens your pup’s coat.

Lavender

 Lavender

Cleanses and soothes itchy skin

Lavender has antibacterial and anti-itch agents, which is why it’s the main ingredient in our Pure Relief Spray. Lavender has properties that are antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, cleansing, balancing, and soothing.

Calms down stressed pups

Lavender is also helpful for dogs who are stressed out by bath time. The calming properties of lavender oil will soothe your dog's nerves, while the healing properties will hydrate dry or itchy skin. It’ll leave behind a shiny coat and healthy skin, leaving your dog looking and feeling fresh.

Vitamin E

 Vitamin E

Nourishes and adds shine

Vitamin E nourishes the skin and fur, causing a shiny, silky coat. This oil is also known for its anti-inflammatory benefits as it soothes the sensitive skin underneath your dog’s coat.

Olive Oil

Olive oil

Extra strength moisturizing

If your dog needs a double treatment for extra dry skin, check if there’s olive oil in their shampoo. Olive oil is an excellent remedy for dry skin and leaves your dog with a shiny natural coat. The vitamin E and fatty acids in olive oil act as an extra strength moisturizer to knock dryness out once and for all. This is why you’ll find it in all of our shampoo products, even the waterless shampoo.

Coconut Oil

 Coconut Oil

Helps alleviate irritating skin conditions

Coconut oil adds a sheen to your pup’s fur while alleviating dry and itchy skin. It's been known to help skin conditions like hot spots, bites, and stings. It’s what helps our grooming products eliminate odors and leave behind a fresh scent after bath time.
